Backgrounds for Fish

BlogMultiple-ghostprints

This really does sort of look like a mess!  I laid some shredded paper down on fresh paper and silk screened dye paste on top of it.  Then I removed the shredded paper. My usual solution for a creative problem is to ‘add more stuff.’

That stuff was some leaves from the yellow wood tree.  Print in Yellow. Remove leaves.

Add more stuff!

Make some silk screens with texture marks from sponging and sticks.

Print the additional textures and you get…..

Time for some fish.  The ones I used were paper stencil scraps from a different print.  (Glad I rarely throw out my art scraps.)

Just remember my motto, “When in doubt, add more stuff!”
